Animal Adventures

Animal Adventures is a half day school holiday activity program for children 6 – 12 years of age. The program offers a range of animal related activities that are designed to be fun and hands on while also teaching children respect for animals and how to responsibly care for them.

Our Animal Adventures program runs on specific days during the school holidays and runs over a 4 hour period.

A maximum of 15 children will be involved in the program at any one time, this allows us to deliver a high quality program with active instruction and supervision. Please note enrolment is on a first in, first served basis, so book early to secure your child's place.

Children will be given the opportunity to learn how to care for companion animals with hands on activities. Children will have the chance to interact with our animals, under the supervision of our trained educators. A ‘behind the scenes’ tour will show just how much work goes into running our facility and taking care of our animals.

Below is an outline of the activities the children will be involved in throughout the day:
- Behind the Scenes Tour of the SCAR shelter and Community Animal Hospital
- Rotational small group activities
- Cat and kitten enrichment time
- Animal craft play
- Animal reading program
- Dog Training and tricks
- Vet play
