If you're looking for a way to help out at the Shelter or in our Vet Clinic, there are many ways to get involved.
Your in-kind donations help us provide animals with comfort and warmth, ensure they have access to plenty of enrichment options, and help us keep them safe and healthy. From blankets that swaddle a neonatal kitten to essential supplies to keep our shelter running - everything helps us enrich the lives of the vulnerable animals in our care.
Check out the list of items we're currently in need of below:
Neonatal Kittens & Puppy's
- Miracle Nipple Teats for Orphan Kittens (Mini Pack of 2 or Mini Pack of 10 are the two most helpful options)
- Kitten / Puppy Formula
- Snuggle Safe Microwavable Heat Pad with Cover
- Nursing Bottle & Teat Pack
- Kitten Toys
- Small Kitchen Scales
Pet Food (for our Pet Food Pantry):
We accept any brand of quality, unopened and in-date CAT OR DOG FOOD here at SCAR. If you would like to assist with our Pet Food Pantry program and donate pet food, you can drop some off to our shelter directly, or have it delivered from your local grocer or any other Pet Food Retailer. At the moment, we are desperately in need of:
- Wet Cat & Dog Food (and brand)
- All kinds of cat or dog food
- Zip Lock Bags (for packing pet food)
Linen:
Please note: We at capacity for ALL LINEN and therefore NOT ACCEPTING THE FOLLOWING:
- Towels
- Blankets
- Sheets
- Any other forms of linen at this stage

Please note: we cannot accept any manchester with padded or feathered filling (such as pillows, doonas or mattresses) as our animals will destroy it.
