At Second Chance Animal Rescue (SCAR), we know that every dog is unique and sometimes group classes or general training advice just aren’t enough. When you’ve tried everything and still feel stuck, our 1-on-1 Dog Training Program is here to support you.

Not every dog thrives in busy group environments, and with the full schedules many families juggle, attending regular classes isn’t always practical. That’s where personalised, one-on-one training can make all the difference. This service is designed to meet you and your dog exactly where you are, focusing on the specific challenges you’re facing in real-life situations.

Our experienced team takes the time to help you understand why your dog behaves the way they do, not just how to manage it. From there, we create a tailored, ongoing training plan that suits your dog’s needs, your home environment, and your family’s lifestyle. This targeted approach often brings clarity, confidence, and progress when other methods haven’t worked.

1-On-1 Dog Training

Here at SCAR, we understand that not every dog is suited to big group training sessions and that sometimes it can be hard to attend them anyway due to the busy lives we all lead. This is where our 1-on-1 Training Program comes in!

This program is designed to offer you a personalised approach to your dog’s specific needs. Our team will help you understand why your dog behaves the way they do and create a tailored ongoing training plan to help you and your family transform your pooch into the happy, well-behaved dog they deserve to be!

What We Can Do for Your Dog

We’ll meet your dog where they need us to be.

This program caters to dogs of all ages and can help with many standard and complex behavioural issues, including:

Initial Consult (90 Minutes)

We’ll work with your dog to find the right plan to suit.

These consultations are for dogs who have not had a training session with us before.

The extra time allows our trainers to gather an extensive history as well as create a tailored training plan to help address your dog’s behavioural concerns.

Follow-Up Consult (60 Minutes)

Need extra time? Don’t worry, we got you covered.

These consultations are for any ongoing training sessions required following your dog’s initial consult.
