Meet Lara Shannon
As a regular on Australian TV screens and radio for over 20 years you might recognise this passionate face from Channel 10's Pooches at Play, which Lara is both the Executive Producer and Host of. Lara is a certified dog trainer, behaviourist and pet food nutritionist, and is one of Australia’s most well-known animal welfare advocates and canine experts. Through her education work, Lara reaches millions of Australians each year, helping to improve the lives of companion animals and promoting responsible pet ownership for the benefit of both pets and the people who love them in.
Lara has been the media spokesperson for a number of high profile animal welfare and conservation organisations in Australia and the UK over the years, including the World Wide Fund for Nature, Planet Ark, Keep Australia Beautiful, The Orangutan Project, Wildlife Asia and many more! Lara is also an ambassador for the Pet Insurance Australia Companion Animal Rescue Awards, and her mission is to help reduce the needless euthanasia of adoptable shelter animals to zero.
In between her TV show and dog training commitments, Lara is still regularly featured in the media and can also be seen presenting on stage at pet expos, seminars and events throughout the year with her cheeky rescue pups, ‘Dynamite Darcy’ and Vindi by her side!

Meet JaWoodle
Josh, known online as JaWoodle, is an online content creator, focussed mainly on making gaming related comedic videos on YouTube.
After leaving his Engineering career in 2017 to focus on working in online entertainment, Josh has built a significant following on YouTube and Twitch and is proud to represent Melbourne in the online gaming space.
Known for his high energy and enthusiasm, he is the face of a passionate community of incredible people who support him in his career and philanthropic endeavours.
Josh is an 'animal loving tragic', and believes that all animals, big and small, deserve the same love and care as any other being.
He is always looking for ways to use his privileged position to give back, and help shine a light on worthy causes, because "what's the point of having a voice as loud as mine if you can't speak up for those who have none".
In 2022, for his birthday, Josh held a 12-Hour Charity Stream Event on his Twitch channel to benefit Second Chance Animal Rescue. We were completely overwhelmed when Josh popped by the shelter to pass on a mind-blowing $33,020.00 that he and his supportive network of followers raised for SCAR and the animals in our care!! We are so honoured to work with Josh and cannot wait to see where the future takes us!
