Fundraising

Your Support Saves Lives!

Every year, compassionate people just like you join together to support Second Chance Animal Rescue’s (SCAR) mission to make a difference in the lives of animals in need and the people who care about them. And it is that very generosity that has kept us going all these years!

There are so many fun and meaningful ways to start fundraising for SCAR! Whether you’re lending a hand solo, or teaming up with family, friends, classmates, or colleagues. Every dollar you raise, whether its $10 or $1,000 – goes such a long way to help us save lives!

Where Your Funds Go:

  • Help our shelter animals find loving homes and families.
  • Support our veterinary clinic and provide essential medical care for the pets of people in need.
  • Contribute to our many community outreach programs to help families keep their beloved pets in times of hardship.
  • Or support SCAR’s mission as a whole to help us continue rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals in need, and keeping pets with the families who love them.

Where To Send Donated Funds:

Already completed your fundraiser? Thank you so much!

Head our Donations Page to see all the ways you can donate your funds directly to SCAR!

Getting Involved Is Easy!

Simply explore the many impactful ways you can support our mission below, choose one that suits, follow the links to set up an online fundraising page and share with your friends and family!

And on behalf of SCAR, we thank you for using your voice to inspire others in your community to get behind our lifesaving work for pets and the people who love them!

Celebrate with Compassion

Have a birthday coming up? Your pet’s big day? Getting married? Make your celebration even more meaningful by inviting loved ones to donate to SCAR in place of gifts. They can give what they’d spend on a present or join the fun by donating a symbolic amount, like your age or wedding date. The best part? Together, you’re all helping save animals in need!

Honour a Loved One

Create a special tribute to a loved one by raising funds in their memory. Set up a personalised tribute page, giving family and friends a place to honour them while supporting a cause close to their heart. It’s a beautiful way to remember someone dear, including our cherished animal companions. All funds raised help us give the animals in our care the chance to find a new home and a fresh start, all in the name of someone special.

Challenge Yourself

Do you love to run, ride, hike, or swim? Whether you’re participating in an existing event or creating your own – as long as you’re pushing yourself for a good cause, why not invite those around you to sponsor your efforts and help you make a difference for animals in need.

Host for a Cause

Planning a bake sale, morning tea, garage sale, or even a pet-themed party? Gather your friends and family for a fun event to raise funds for SCAR! Once your donation page is set up, feel free to reach out to our team for any support with posters or flyers to bring your event to life.

Wedding Favours with a Purpose

Why not start your Happily Ever After with a SCAR Wedding Favour? Instead of traditional favours, choose from four beautifully designed cards, personalised for your special day, which promise to add a meaningful touch to the celebrations and a lasting impact on the lives of animals.

Adopt a Donation Tin

If your workplace, school, or club would like to host a SCAR Donation Tin at the front desk, we’d love to set you up! Reach out below, and we’ll provide an info pack, posters, and a donation tin to support you in raising funds for animals in need. Every bit counts!
