- Residual Gift – After taking care of your loved ones and any expenses, consider leaving the remainder or a part of the remainder of your estate to SCAR.
- Specific Gift – You may also choose to leave a specific sum or particular assets to SCAR.

Including Your Pets in Your Will
We recommend that you include specific instructions in your Will to ensure your pets are cared for and rehomed by Second Chance Animal Rescue (SCAR) through our pet legacy service.
Here’s how you can phrase these instructions:
I direct that, should there be no family member or friend able to care for my surviving pets at the time of my passing, my Executor is to transfer custody of my pets to Second Chance Animal Rescue (SCAR).
It is my wish that SCAR rehome my pets through their pet legacy service or any future equivalent program or policy they may offer.
I further direct my Executor to arrange for the transportation of my surviving pets from their current residence to a designated SCAR location.
