You don’t have to adopt to help a rescue animal in need!

As a non-profit that relies entirely on community support, we deeply appreciate every in-kind donation we receive. Each item makes a significant difference, helping us provide warmth, safety, enrichment, and a positive experience for all the animals in our care—no matter how long their stay. Your generous donations also allow us to redirect vital funds towards medical, behavioural and other essential care. Every contribution makes a difference!

NOTE: If you’re donating an item from OZFUR KIDS: please use our discount code: Second Chance Animal Rescue for a 5% discount on your order. Only eligible when delivered to our shelter directly.

We Don’t Accept:

  • Anything padded such as pillows, cushions, mattresses or doonas of any kind

  • Opened food or treats
  • Bird cages
  • Carpet/Rugs

This ensures we can focus our resources on saving animals, instead of disposing of broken, damaged, unsafe or soiled items.

*Due to the physical nature of working in the shelter, volunteer roles may involve significant amounts of manual handling, and a reasonable level of fitness is required. Manual handling includes sustaining repetitive movements of lifting/bending, pushing/pulling, twisting/turning and walking for extended periods of time. Some heavy lifting up to 15kg may be required.

I acknowledge that my organisation will receive an invoice for a financial contribution of a minimum of $800 (inc GST) or more, depending on the number of people who are booked in. I understand payment is within 14 day payment terms for hosting our volunteers.
