Howloween 2022

2022 was another long, scary year at SCAR.

Our kennels were overflowing with homeless pets, adoption rates were at an all-time low, and the need for our pet outreach services had increased dramatically.

On October 28th, our team once again went the extra spooky mile to raise spirits and funds, in order to keep the lights on at SCAR and make the lives of pets and their people a lot less scary.

In 2021, our Howloween Event involved our team completing dares for donations. (You can check out the videos below to see exactly what we got up to!)

For every $1,000 raised, we live-streamed our team completing a specific challenge. From staff, volunteers, foster carers, and even some special friends of SCAR - we all got involved! We bobbed for pet treats, took expired pet food pies to the face, let a Golden Huntsman and a Python crawl and slither over our faces and even chowed down on the hottest potato chip - all to raise money for the animals in our care!

Thanks to YOU, we raised well over $6,000, boosted our team morale and made lots of cats and dogs very happy for the spooky season!
