SCAR Pet Food Pantry

Many of the animals that we rescue from pounds are surrendered as their owners are not able to care for them. To stop this in its tracks we have created community solution-based programs to help pet owners and avoid their pets ending up in pounds and shelters in the first place.

Our Pet Food Pantry was created to offer free pet food to any pet owner who is struggling to feed their pets. No one should have to choose between feeding themselves and feeding their pets, however we sadly handle calls from members of our community on a regular basis having to do just that. We receive donated food from pet food companies and members of the public to run this program and then distribute that food to those who need it most.

How the Pet Food Pantry Works:

Therefore, if you, or a client you are assisting, are in need of pet food, please check out the list of organisations below and get in touch with them directly to access pet food for your pet.

To ensure SCAR's Pet Food Pantry's shelves remain stocked with high-quality pet food, and help us continue providing regular pet food donations to community pet owners in need.

Donate Supplies

We accept any brand of quality, unopened and in-date cat or dog food here at SCAR, so if you would like to assist with our Pet Food Pantry program and donate some pet food, you can drop some off to our shelter directly, or have it delivered from your local grocer or any other Pet Food Retailer.
