Travel has always been a part of David’s life and is an important influence on his art practice, with regular trips to India during the last decade proving to be no exception.
Artist’s residencies over the years have seen David arriving with a basic range of equipment and no preconceived plans, allowing for his daily adventures and the people he meets to edge him in a direction and guide his medium, materials and approach.
David lives in Torquay, has exhibited widely, and is held in collections in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and India.
