September in Review
Recently I received a phone call that left me temporarily speechless. The phone call was to confirm that SCAR was in fact successful in winning $200,000 in the Pick My Project competition! This amazing funding will not only help us to set up Hume’s first ever Non Profit community animal hospital but it will help us save lives!
Our entire team are over the moon with this success and would like to thank all of our amazing supporters that took the time to vote for our life saving project, it is because of all of you that we won. Now we are busy making plans and scouting for locations to get set up, keep an eye out for exciting updates soon. In the meantime, our amazing shelter team have been working away like the passionate people they are and have rescued another 79 animals in need and rehomed 49 cats and 30 dogs in the last 4 weeks.
We are also looking forward to running our cat desexing drive next month and we will bring you an update about this program in our next newsletter.
